As of 2016 , all Spanish -registered cars are classified by the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT). Each car, regardless of its make or model , is classified within a category according to its energy efficiency . Some of these categories are accredited with an environmental label , which identifies the type of vehicle. They can be: Zero emissions, Eco, C or B vehicles .
