Nursery Collapse by Jennifer Hayes Each fall harp seals migrate south from the Arctic to their breeding grounds. Their mating and calving season does not begin until sea ice forms. As they depend on ice their births are highly photo background removing conditioned by climate change and may even stop happening . In this image by photographer Jennifer Hayes USA you can see the birth and blood platform of the seals that instead of being solid and strong is fractured discouraging their reproduction and endangering the pups.
