Powered staves represent a major shift in gameplay. The Trident of the Seas and its upgraded version, the Trident of the Swamp, are staples for mid-to-high-level PvM. These weapons don't require manual spellcasting and scale with OSRS gold your Magic level, making them extremely efficient.
Further upgrades include the Sanguinesti staff, which provides passive healing, and Tumeken's shadow, one of the most powerful magic weapons in the game. The shadow amplifies your gear bonuses, making it incredibly strong in high-end setups.
Magic Armor Progression
Magic armor progression is largely based on improving accuracy and unlocking magic damage bonuses.
Early on, wizard robes or Xerician robes provide basic accuracy. At level 40, mystic robes become your first real upgrade, offering a solid boost for general combat.
Mid-game options include splitbark and its upgrades-swampbark and bloodbark. These sets add defensive stats and small damage bonuses, making them useful for survivability.
At level 70, Ahrim's robes become available. These offer both accuracy and a small magic damage boost, making them a staple for mid-level PvM.
From there, gear becomes more specialized. Blue moon armor supports hybrid builds, while Virtus robes excel when using Ancient Magicks, offering massive damage boosts for those spells.
Ancestral robes are the general best-in-slot magic armor, providing the highest overall accuracy and damage bonuses. While expensive, they are unmatched for OSRS GP most PvM scenarios.
