Let me just come at this honestly because project managers who have reached this point deserve a real conversation rather than a lecture. When an experienced professional finds themselves thinking pay someone to take PMP exam something very specific and very understandable has brought them there and it almost never has anything to do with not caring enough or not trying hard enough. It has everything to do with a preparation journey that has been producing the wrong results for too long despite genuine and sustained effort.
Here is what I find most telling about the professionals who reach this point. They have almost always already invested more in this certification than most people ever will. Thousands of verified project management hours just to qualify. A demanding application process. Significant money spent on study materials and prep courses. Months of sacrificed personal time. And still the passing score keeps not happening despite everything they have given to this process. That level of commitment deserves a real solution not a dismissive response.
