UX Research: what it is and what it is for

Previously, we've already talked about UX/UI, and whatsapp number list today's topic has a lot to do with that. Have you heard about so-called UX Research? In general, UX Research (or UX research) seeks, through surveys, to know the people who use a certain product and what their opinion is about them. Different types of analysis can be applied, for example, throughout the product creation and development process.

The tests are separated according to what we seek to learn about the user and also according to different parameters of information that we have or want to discover. Basically, Design research employs a wide variety of tools and methodologies so that it is possible to reach a conclusion and determine information that can be applied in the design process.

Discover some of the methods used:

1 - Quantitative and qualitative research
In quantitative research, the objective is to identify numbers and measurable data, such as the percentage of users who are able to use a product, how many clicks were made on certain buttons, among other data. Qualitative research aims to understand the user's action: - Why he clicked on a certain button; - What reasons lead to carrying out an action; - What were the main interactions on a page; - And many other behaviors and their reasons.

2 - Questionnaire
Because it is easy to create, apply and pass on to other people, the questionnaire is one of the most widely used methods. Furthermore, we can obtain both quantitative and qualitative data.



3 - Interviews
The interview is a great qualitative method and is widely used to get to know the user better. Through it, it is possible to collect information with richness and precision.

You need to keep in mind that each scenario is unique, regardless of the method you apply. Therefore, the UX Researcher must have knowledge of the most diverse research methodologies so that it is possible to structure the results clearly and precisely according to their objectives.
