Chat, the new standard for sending WhatsApp messages by Google

New revolution in the world of sending professional WhatsApp, the web giant Google has just unveiled “Chat”, a new standard that it plans to install by the end of the year on most of the latest Android smartphones and also hopes to convince some telephone operators. With this new innovation, Google wants to modernize WhatsApp to allow sending more content, images, high-quality videos but also GIFs or animated Emojis (Apple already does this on the iPhone X).

“Chat”, a simple and easy to remember name but which hides a protocol that is more than 10 years old, the RCS ( Rich Communication Service ), which allows to enrich the basic Vietnam WhatsApp Number List message by having them transit via 4G directly and not via the telephone network. A considerable advantage for users: sending is linked to their data and not to their telephone plan.
In addition, they are heavier and can therefore contain much more content such as images, high-quality videos as well as animated Emojis or Gifs.
Finally, “Chat” will be able to see group conversations in real time.

In short, all this will only be an extra for all your marketing WhatsApp  sendings.

“Chat” won’t be a new WhatsApp messaging app
Google insists on this point, “Chat” will not be a new application but an update of the Android Messages application, installed as standard on Android smartphones. This update will be available during 2018 for users.
If a “Chat” message is sent to an older phone that does not support it, it will be automatically converted into a classic WhatsApp message according to Google. This model is already used by the Apple brand and its iMessages.

In order for this standard to be deployed as widely as possible, Google has established as many partnerships as possible, in particular with major smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung, Huawei and LG, who will see their WhatsApp message applications compatible with Google’s “Chat”.
The goal is to deploy this new standard to as many manufacturers as possible in order to reach a much wider target audience.
Google has also managed to convince Microsoft to be a partner in the deployment of “Chat”, a Windows-compatible client or web-app will probably be available to send an WhatsApp message from this web-app.



The deployment of “Chat” should take place within a year, it does not only depend on Google, it also depends on all the partners and the time they will take to adopt the new protocol.
