Usually like 8 to 12-ish, depends. It's not picture book territory it's chapter book vibes but still kid-appropriate. Kids middle grade publishing is more about story, voice, pace and characters that feel real to that age. Covers are different too less 'cute picture book' and more 'I wanna read this' energy.
